Trolls / Hot Dog — Experimental Digital Production
This experimental animation explores the integration of procedural 3D production, motion capture, and AI-assisted workflows within a contemporary digital art practice. The project was developed using Houdini as the primary 3D environment, incorporating self-recorded motion capture and AI tools connected through an MCP-based workflow to assist with elements of the production process.

The work investigates how emerging AI systems can function as part of an artist's production pipeline rather than simply as image-generation tools. Character animation, movement, timing, staging, and visual development were combined into a playful scene centered on a group of animated characters celebrating around an oversized hot dog.

While humorous in subject matter, the project is part of a broader investigation into procedural animation, virtual production, performance capture, artificial intelligence, and new approaches to digital storytelling. It also reflects my teaching and research interests in introducing students to evolving production methods while maintaining an emphasis on artistic decision-making, experimentation, and authorship.
